Project Portfolio Development
Peak Geothermal Energy (Peak) is a Calgary based corporation focused on developing geothermal energy projects globally. Peak has identified and delineated world-class geothermal resources in close proximity to primary power markets. This currently include properties in Nevada, Chile and Canada.
Target Output
Our goal is to develop the subsurface resource capable of producing over 100MW of renewable energy from the geothermal power plant facilities. The projects have the necessary resource characteristics to produce cost-competitive geothermal power to the local power grid. Peak’s geothermal resource represents an opportunity for Peak to become one of the planet’s “greenest” providers of thermal energy resources. The projects also incorporate the efficient use of the direct heat resources for local agriculture, aquaculture and eco-tourism applications.
Revenue Centers
Peak will develop the geothermal resources with the goal of selling directly to power market spot pricing associated with the need for grid stability in jurisdictions that are required to reach Net Zero energy targets. Secondary lines of revenue include Carbon Credits for offsetting fossil fuel-based power production and direct heat projects like Greenhouses and aquaculture. These projects assist government’s ‘Climate Strategy’ to reduce greenhouse gas emission to net-zero by 2050.
